Marketing Communication Coordinator
“Continuously improving the customer journey, both online and offline”
This is basically a full-time position based in Etten-Leur in the Netherlands. You will be part of a Global Marketing Team consisting of six professionals, reporting to the Marketing Manager. In this team, you will work closely with the American team, consisting of aftermarket sales, product management and customer service, and certainly also with colleagues in the European Sales & Marketing organization (sales, product management and customer service).
About the role
In this position, you will be part of a driven and internationally oriented marketing team. Due to organizational changes, this European team is taking on responsibility for Thetford's marketing in the US. Due to this, your primary focus will be on the US market. As part of this team, you will work together with the sales, product management and customer service teams in the US and Europe. In this pivotal role, your primary goals in the US will be to increase awareness of Thetford, clearly position the Thetford portfolio and actively support the aftermarket sales of Thetford products. You will ensure that the right content is communicated to the target group at the right time via the right channel (increasingly online channels).

What you will do
- Act as the US-focused member of the Global Marketing Team, in close cooperation with a small US team, ensuring tight alignment.
- Develop, plan, coordinate and execute US campaign plans, launches, content needs and marketing tools such as press releases, mailings, packaging, show support, digital campaigns, media, website, socials, influencers, and POS-materials.
- Support go-to-market readiness for new products: internal alignment, sales enablement and launch coordination.
- Track and report the effectiveness of activities and market feedback to continuously improve messaging and plans, optimizing the customer journey.
- Write inspiring online and social content to generate traffic.
- Create structured communication rhythms with the US office (plans, launch reviews, market insight updates).
What success looks like (first 6-12 months)
- Clear alignment with the US team regarding aftermarket marketing priorities.
- Smooth collaboration model between the US team and Global Marketing Team.
- Better visibility of US market trends, competitive insights, and customer needs at the head office level and better visibility of Thetford brand(s) and products in the US market.
- Have basic marketing tools needed in place, improved product launch readiness.
- Application of AI-driven tools to enhance insights, content, throughput time, efficiency and execution for the US market.
Your profile
- 5+ years of experience in marketing, preferably in an internationally oriented company.
- A higher professional education (HBO) level of working and thinking.
- Excellent command of English and Dutch in both written as well as verbal communication.
- Experience with websites (WordPress), digital campaigns, SEO, social media marketing, email marketing, point of sales materials and show organization.
- Passionate, creative, independent and a team player.
- At ease in international collaboration with different cultures and time zones.
- Practical, hands-on ‘get things done mentality'.
- Familiarity with AI tools.
- Flexible to travel to the USA (or European locations) from time to time.
